French Toast Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp butter extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the light brown sugar, maple syrup, water, and ground cinnamon over medium heat. Stir occasionally to ensure the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes smooth.
- Once the sugar is dissolved and the mixture has come to a gentle simmer, remove the pan from heat.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and butter extract, making sure everything is well combined.
- Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a clean container for easy storage.
- Store the syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
