Veggie Broth Dry Mix

This recipe is perfect for when you want to throw together a quick soup and don’t have any vegetable broth in the pantry or freezer. This is a make-ahead mix that you can store in your pantry.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons celery salt
  • 4 tablespoons onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons parsley
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 3 tablespoons thyme
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon sage

Instructions
 

For Veggie Broth Dry Mix

  • In a pint-size mason jar, combine all the dry ingredients.
  • Seal the jar tightly and shake until all the ingredients are well mixed.
  • Store the jar in a cool, dry place like your pantry or a cabinet until it’s ready to use.

For Veggie Broth:

  • To make a cup of vegetable broth, mix 2 teaspoons of the dry mix for each cup of warm water.
  • Stir the mixture well until the broth mix is fully dissolved in the water.
  • Use the vegetable broth in your favorite soup recipe and store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 to 5 days.

Notes

This spice mix can also be added to homemade veggie scrap broth to give your broth a flavor boost!
