The Best Caramel Brulée Syrup – Rich, Creamy & Delicious

If you love the deep, toasty flavor of caramelized sugar with a hint of vanilla and cream, this homemade caramel brulée syrup is a must-try. It’s the perfect addition to lattes, iced coffee, milkshakes, desserts, and even cocktails. Made with sweetened condensed milk, this syrup is rich, velvety, and indulgent, bringing café-quality flavor to your kitchen.

Why You’ll Love This Caramel Brulée Syrup

Unlike traditional caramel syrups, which can be too thin or overly sweet, this version has a silky texture thanks to sweetened condensed milk. The addition of brown sugar creates a deeper, more complex caramel flavor, while vanilla extract enhances its richness. A touch of salt balances the sweetness, making this syrup an irresistible treat.

Tips for the Best Caramel Brulée Syrup

  • Since this syrup contains dairy, it has a shorter shelf life than regular simple syrups. Always store it in the fridge and use it within 7 days.
  • For a thicker texture, reduce the water by ¼ cup.
  • To enhance the caramelized flavor, try using dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
  • If the syrup separates slightly in the fridge, gently reheat and whisk to bring it back together.

Ways to Use Caramel Brulée Syrup

  • Coffee & Espresso Drinks – Add to lattes, cold brews, cappuccinos, or iced coffee for a rich caramel twist.
  • Desserts – Drizzle over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or cheesecake for extra indulgence.
  • Cocktails & Mocktails – Mix into an espresso martini, caramel old-fashioned, or creamy hot chocolate.
  • Baking – Use as a sweet drizzle over baked goods like muffins, cakes, and cinnamon rolls.
  • Milkshakes & Smoothies – Blend into vanilla or chocolate milkshakes for a creamy caramel boost.

Storage & Shelf Life

Due to the dairy content, this syrup should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and used within one week. If you notice separation, give it a quick stir or gentle reheat before using.

I prefer to store my simple syrups in mason jars, and use lids like pour lids from Mason Jar Lifestyle. Alternatively, I also like to use these bottles which are aesthetic!
