Caramel Brulée Simple Syrup

a rich, sweet syrup with hints of vanilla, perfect to add a toasty caramel flavor to coffee, desserts and drinks

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, and sweetened condensed milk over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, whisking continuously until all ingredients are fully combined.
  • Once the sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat.
  • Stir in vanilla extract and salt, mixing well.
  • Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a clean, airtight container.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

this syrup has a short shelf life, due to the dairy used
