- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp butter extract
- ½ tsp almond extract
In a medium saucepan, combine sugars and water over medium heat. Bring mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
Once the sugar is completely dissolved and the liquid is clear, remove the pan from heat.
Stir in extracts, whisk until combined.
Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then transfer to a clean container.
Store the simple syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
