  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries

  • Begin by washing your fresh raspberries thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the white sugar, filtered water, and raspberries over medium heat.
  • Stir occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves, gently mashing the raspberries as they cook to release their juices.
  • Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors fully develop.
  • Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the raspberry solids, pressing gently to extract every bit of flavor.
  • Transfer the finished syrup to a clean, airtight container and refrigerate. It will keep for up to three weeks.

you can substitute fresh raspberries for frozen raspberries
