Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend
Maria Watkins, LivingPlanetFriendly
Whether you’re whipping up a classic pumpkin pie, making lattes at home, or adding fall flair to your oatmeal, this spice mix delivers that unmistakable seasonal charm.
- 6 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
Use a clean measuring spoon to measure each spice into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Make sure your spices are fresh and aromatic for the best results.
Whisk all the spices together until they are completely combined. The mixture should be uniform in color and texture.
Using a funnel or spoon, pour the spice blend into an airtight spice jar or small mason jar. Store in a cool, dark place like a pantry or spice drawer.
Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice in recipes calling for warm spices, or substitute it anywhere you’d normally use cinnamon for a seasonal twist.
