Ingredients

  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • To start, combine the white sugar, filtered water, and pure maple syrup in a medium saucepan. Whisk the ingredients together to blend them thoroughly and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally to help dissolve the sugar.
  • Once the sugar is fully dissolved and the syrup is simmering, let it continue to simmer for about 5 minutes. This will allow the syrup to thicken slightly and develop its flavors. After 5 minutes, remove the pan from the heat.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, mixing it well into the syrup. The vanilla will add a beautiful, fragrant sweetness to the mixture.
  • Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer the liquid into a clean container for storage.
  • Store the maple vanilla syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to three weeks.
