vanilla bean paste

cinnamon sticks
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon sticks.
Place over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Once dissolved, continue simmering for 4–5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse fully.
Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Transfer the syrup to a clean container. For extra flavor, you can leave the cinnamon sticks in the syrup to continue steeping in the fridge.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.
Notes
vanilla bean paste can be substituted 1:1 with vanilla extract
