Cinnamon Vanilla Simple Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon sticks.
  • Place over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Once dissolved, continue simmering for 4–5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse fully.
  • Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Transfer the syrup to a clean container. For extra flavor, you can leave the cinnamon sticks in the syrup to continue steeping in the fridge.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.

Notes

vanilla bean paste can be substituted 1:1 with vanilla extract
